Gilbert & George met at St Martins School of Art in 1967 and since then have given their life to art and made themselves into 'living sculptures'. They have lived and worked together ever since in the East End of London. Gilbert & George have exhibited all over the world, in 1986 they won the Turner Prize and in 2005 they represented Britain at the Venice Biennale with their group of 'Ginkgo Pictures'. From 15th February until 7th of May 2007 Gilbert & George are having their first major retrospective at the Tate Modern in London. They are represented by www.whitecube.com
This is an original copy of Dark Shadow by Gilbert & George which was originally published in a limited signed edition of 2000 each one numbered and signed. This one is not numbered or signed so make's it rarer (it is from the same edition) still as it is (as far as I know) the only un-numbered edition in exsistence. The book contains eight chapter's entitled - Gordon's Gin - Dark Shadow - Broken Hearts - Bloody Life - Balls Bar - Bad Thoughts - Inca Pisco - Human Bondage. It is in good condition and a very rare and amazing book.
