Gilbert & George met at St Martins School of Art in 1967 and since then have given their life to art and made themselves into 'living sculptures'. They have lived and worked together ever since in the East End of London. Gilbert & George have exhibited all over the world, in 1986 they won the Turner Prize and is 2005 they represented Britain at the Venice Biennale with their group of 'Ginkgo Pictures'. From 15th February until 7th of May 2007 Gilbert & George are having their first major retrospective at the Tate Modern in London. They are represented by www.whitecube.com in the UK
